Hello, I’m Neda. I hope to earn your vote by March 5, 2024.

A resident of Glendale since 1992, I’ve been a passionate volunteer and community supporter in GUSD and beyond. My leadership skills and ability to work with others in pursuit of a common goal make me uniquely qualified to serve as your Area E GUSD School Board Trustee (aka Board Member). I ran for School Board in 2020 and am doing so again because I believe all voters deserve a choice in local elections that impact the 25,000 students and 3,000 employees in GUSD. Local elections are vital to strong communities, and no candidate should run unopposed.

My experience within the Glendale Unified School District began as a PTA volunteer, baking cupcakes when my son started elementary school. Each year thereafter I became more involved, spending over two decades working at various levels of PTA because I believe deeply in their mission to make every child’s potential a reality. Ultimately climbing the ranks to the role of Glendale Council PTA President, the body that governs all of Glendale’s PTAs, I was able to visit other schools and interface with parents, teachers, and staff to learn more about the culture of each site and how the needs differed from school to school.

I’ve used my platform to address social justice and diversity issues; safeguarding equitable access to services regardless of ethnicity, gender, race, religion, or socio-economic status.

I’ve visited schools across the county to share innovative tools and strategies to strengthen school districts’ commitment to policy changes that facilitate the promise of care, equality, and inclusivity within schools, and communities built on a culture of transparency and trust.

As a dedicated volunteer and advocate, I’ve been a member of numerous district organizations and committees, serving as a founding member of Glendale Unified School District’s Restorative Justice Task Force, Glendale Education Foundation Board, The Character and Ethics Project Board, Superintendent’s Facilities Advisory Committee, WASC committee, Site Council, LCAP Committee, and Adelante Latinos. In addition, I am a staunch supporter of district VAPA ( Visual and Performing Arts) programs in GUSD.
